INTRODUCTION TO UGANDA

We are delighted to offer you this exclusive exploration of Queen Elizabeth and Bwindi impenetrable forest national park and kibale forest national park. Despite its recent turbulent past, western Uganda is experiencing resurgence and emerging as one of the top safari and business destinations the areas that were off limits in the past have now become havens for wildlife. Once described by Winston Churchill as the “pearl of Africa” ,there is wealth of unique and awe inspiring sights on offer; bustling cities, game filled national parks, scenic lakes, prolific bird life, lush forest and of course the big draw, the lions, leopards, chimpanzees and the gorillas.

In brief

Day 1 Kampala to kibale forest national park

Day 2 chimpanzee trekking and afternoon transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park

Day 3 morning gamedrive and after boat ride on the Kazinga channel

Day 4 transfer to Bwindi forest

Day 5 gorilla trekking

Day 6 transfer back to Kampala with a stopover at the equator for picture moments and souvenir shopping

THE ITINERARY

Day 1

We shall set of from kampala/Entebbe to kibale forest national park. The drive shall last approximately 6 hour drive. On arrival we shall check into the lodge and relax for the rest of the day.

Day 2

After and early morning breakfast we shall head to the tracking start point for a brief briefing and grouping the head out into the forest to start the trek.

The trek last approximately 3 to 6 hours depending on the location f the chimpanzees. After the track we shall head to fort portal town for lunch then proceed to queen Elizabeth national park.

Day 3

We shall have an early morning game drive hoping to see a variety of wildlife ranging from elephants, kobs, buffalos, hippos, leopards and lions if lucky. We shall return to the lodge then later return for an afternoon boat ride on the kazinga channel. This boat ride brings us upclose with the wildlife along the water banks sunbathing like the crocodiles, hippos, and elephants and a variety of bird species

Day 4

We shall transfer to bwindi forest. along the way we shall be able to see a varfiety of birds, mountains and hills, common people moving on wilth their busines and alot of agricultural and farm lands. on arrival we shall check into our lodge realx in preparation for the gorilla trek the following day

Day 5

The big gorilla trek. after breakfast we shall head out to the briefing point were we shall be greeted and entertained by a local dance group. we shall the be brief about the forest and the gorillas. we shall later be put in groups headed by rangers and you shall head into the forest to start the trekking. the length of the trek depends on how far the gorillas have moved however when your meet them you shall be with them for only one hour before you return

Day 6

Return to Kampala with a stopover at the equator for a few picture moments and souvenir shopping. the equator point show cases the different atmosphere forces in the north and south. this will be explained to you once we get there. we shall take pictures at the famous monuime3nt of the equator have lunch then proceed to Kampala or Entebbe
